Terms of Service
Last updated:
Draft terms – not yet reviewed by a lawyer. This page covers TicketSmith's hosted (SaaS) service and its self-hosted/BYO-key software. It is not final and should not be treated as a binding agreement until the project owner has it reviewed.
On this page
1. The service#
TicketSmith is a Discord ticket bot offered two ways: as a hosted service ("TicketSmith Cloud") where we run the bot for you, and as self-hosted or bring-your-own-key software you run yourself. Using either constitutes acceptance of these terms.
2. Local Agent and your credentials#
Some features (remote actions like restarting a service or kicking a player, and certain enrichment lookups) run through the optional Local Agent, a small process you install on your own infrastructure. You supply and configure the credentials it uses (RCON, SSH, database, API keys, etc.) – TicketSmith Cloud never receives or stores them.
Because you control those credentials and what the Local Agent is allowed to do with them, you are responsible for actions taken using credentials you configured, including actions proposed by AI features and confirmed by your staff. TicketSmith's liability for any such action is limited to the extent permitted by law and Section 4 below, except for our gross negligence or willful misconduct in the software itself.
3. No uptime guarantee#
TicketSmith Cloud is provided on an as-is, best-effort basis. We do not guarantee any particular level of uptime or availability, and we may perform maintenance, including with limited or no advance notice. We are not liable for losses or damages arising from downtime, maintenance, or service interruption.
4. Limitation of liability#
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TicketSmith is provided without warranties of any kind, and our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
5. Data#
See our Privacy Policy for what data we store, for how long (see its Retention and deletion section), and how to reach us with a request (see its Contact and changes section).
6. Changes#
We may update these terms as the service changes; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
